Highlights of the contracts include the following:
Echostar
Echostar is a leader in DTH television, with the capability to offer over 500 digital video, data and audio channels of programming, including local networks and HDTV, to over five million customers nationwide. Newpoint Compass will manage their new DTH transmission facility in the Gilbert, AZ facility.
BPL Telecom Ltd, India
BPL Telecom, part of the BPL Group of companies with annual sales US$ 1 Billion, has recently agreed to represent and market Newpoint products and services through its Advanced Network Services Group (ASNG) in India. ANSG offers end-to-end telecom solutions to corporate & government clients in India, and they join the growing team of international representatives of Newpoint products and services.
According to BPL Telecom, "Newpoint's products and services have great market potential in India". This was recently confirmed when BPL and Newpoint won their first contract together to provide a network management system for VSNL, a Telecom provider in India.
Telcel Venezuela
Telcel, a Bell South company, provides mobile phone, Internet, VPN, and long distance services to three million customers in Venezuela. Newpoint has been contracted to deliver an integrated system, based on Newpoint Compass, that will manage Telcel's cell phone distribution network. Newpoint was selected for the application based on its known track record and its ability to easily manage the array of devices that make up the Telcel system.
Edward Jones Investment
For more than 125 years, Edward Jones has been helping individuals invest for financial security. With two billion dollars in yearly business, and over 7,100 offices in three countries, the reliability of its communications infrastructure is critical. The Newpoint Compass and Newpoint Stratus systems delivered to Edward Jones Investments will manage their network. The Newpoint solution will reduce system failures by monitoring their critical carriers, and reduce meantime to recovery.
TVNZ - Television New Zealand
The state-owned television broadcaster of New Zealand runs two television networks and a service company that develops builds and operates Broadcast and Telecommunications networks.
The selection of an "Out of the box" software package that is open and easily configured was a key point in TVNZ's selection of Newpoint Compass. TVNZ staff recently completed training at the Newpoint facility in Salem, NH and will implement their system using TVNZ< personnel.
