Newpoint Selected To Manage High-Speed Broadband Network For Major Internet Communications Company

Newpoint Technologies, a leading provider of network-management solutions and developer of the innovative and award-winning Newpoint Compasstm software package, was selected by a global leader in broadband internet-based communications to provide a network management system (NMS) for their Very high data rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) network.
This VDSL network delivers video, data and telephony transmissions over traditional twisted-pair copper wire, but at the high speeds necessary to compete with cable companies

Compasstm is the key
Newpoint's award winning Compasstm will be at the heart of the network management system that will be installed in the Broadband Access Services Group of this global company. Compass is a highly flexible software package with a real data-accessing speed advantage. The Compass real time data server, with its special indexing algorithm can support data updates (even within very large systems) in milliseconds.
