Newpoint Unveils Compass Creator at Satellite 2003

February 5, 2003

Salem, New Hampshire USA -- Newpoint Technologies, Inc., the recognized leader in network management technology, invites you to come and see the latest advances in M&C Technology when we unveil the new Compass Creator at the Satellite 2003 show February 25-28.

Compass Creator is a unique application that will build your M&C graphical user interface at the touch of a button. Once equipment is configured in the system, Creator builds device detail pages, builds overview pages and configures the database for you. You are not required to use a drawing tool, write code or scripts, or sort through large numbers of points to display device status on the screen, Creator does this for you. This revolutionary tool significantly reduces the time associated with creating an M&C system. A system that has a short learning curve, quick deployment, and is simple to maintain and expand.

Newpoint will also be demonstrating the new Trending capabilities of the Compass software. The new Trend and Historian has many new capabilities including:

-Plot 10's of thousands of data points

-Zoom and pan

-Log data continuously or for a particular duration

-Activate or deactivate logging when alarms occur

-Graphing multiple traces on a single plot

-Saving plot data to the local hard drive as a file

-Providing basic statistical data such as average, mean, standard deviation

-Saving a plotted graph as a ".gif" or ".bmp" file.
