Newpoint Announces Corrected Bit Error Rate Analysis Module for its Compass Monitor and Control System

Wednesday, July 19, 2006

Salem, New Hampshire USA -- Newpoint Technologies, Inc., the recognized leader in network management technology, today announced the availability of its CBER Analysis. This module has been in high demand by Newpoint’s government customers who wish to gather performance statistics on both their leased and in house circuits.  The Newpoint Compass solution continuously gathers real time data from a circuit’s Satellite Modem. The data is then processed within the Compass M&C software producing high level data that is suitable for incorporation into Service Level Agreement (SLA) reports.

Wally Martland (General Manager of Newpoint Technologies, Inc.) commented “The availability of this affordable option now makes it possible to easily and correctly analyze a circuits performance” he further commented that, “Previously this data was difficult to gather and was accomplished via expensive custom solutions or even worse performed manually. The addition of this capability compliments other features that have been added to the Compass suite of products to enhance its attractiveness to Military, Government and the service providers to these users. When this feature is added to other recently introduced capabilities, such as our Iridium “Out of band” back up communications and our True North GUI with “user security”, we have the best and most complete package for managing Government and Military circuits.”
