NICHOLAS KOSKORES JOINS NEWPOINT TECHNOLOGIES TO EXPAND DEFENSE INITIATIVES AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS.
Salem, New Hampshire USA, November 20, 1998 --Newpoint Technologies, Inc., the world's foremost provider of computer software programs for control, management and protection of critical traffic handled by satellite earth stations and network devices, has announced the appointment of Nick Koskores to the new position of Senior Consultant for Public Affairs.
Mr. Koskores works in New England and Washington, D.C. He will figure prominently in Newpoint Technologies' plans to expand business in the control and management of federal defense initiatives. Mr. Koskores will present Newpoint Technologies' standards initiatives to federal agencies.
His prior work includes consulting with Lau Technologies and 20 years representing Thermo Electron to state and federal agencies. Mr. Koskores has also worked as a press aide to Massachusetts Governors John Volpe and Francis Sargent, and on Capitol Hill. In the late 1980s, he was also president of the New England Council, a regional business group.
Newpoint Compass Software is emerging as the catalyst for standardizing certain design elements of earth station and network devices. As a result, devices from a variety of participating manufacturers will be able to communicate easily with each other and with the network operation software, without the need for extensive custom integration engineering. Newpoint Compass itself comes bundled with many capabilities that also reduce the need for custom engineering, including a large library of built-in interfaces for earth station and network devices from most major manufacturers. The optional Newpoint Compass Toolkit provides the capability to write interface drivers for virtually any such device.
